History William John Barritt established a store on the corner of Front and King Streets in Hamilton in 1874 selling dry goods and bottled mineral water and sodas. Although he passed away soon after, his son John took over, and the soft drink bottler has been owned by the same family for five generations. In 1927, the company began local bottling of Coca-cola, and later added many other American product lines. Barritt's Ginger Beer remains the most popular ginger beer in Bermuda, and is the traditional mixer with Gosling's Black Seal rum for a Dark 'n' Stormy cocktail. Review Fresh ginger aroma. Not a harsh spicy ginger brew – this one is sweet & cool, like a Canada Dry but with a fresher ginger flavor than other mass-market drinks. Tasty and refreshing for a hot day.
Ingredients Carbonated water, high fructose corn syrup, natural and artificial ginger flavouring, citric acid, neutral cloud, sodium benzoate (preservative), extract of quillaia bark, and caramel color. Made by Barritts Beverages International Ltd.
