History Refrescos Unión was established in Meoqui, Chihuahua in 1951 as a contract bottling plant for Coca-Cola, servicing the northern Mexico region. The company also created the Elite soda brand at the same time. Review This has a pleasant grapefruit smell. At first sip it's cool and refreshing. But after a few more sips it seems more like a lemonade than a grapefruit soda. I was hoping for something more exciting, like a Ting. It's a big bottle. It's getting less interesting after that promising beginning. Not a lot of complexity of flavor, just citrus & a bit of sour and a lot of sugar. Not a lot of carbonation doesn't help either.
Ingredients Carbonated water, cane sugar, grapefruit flavor concentrate, FD&C Yellow 5, sodium benzoate (preserves freshness). Made by Refrescos Unión S.A. de C.V. . Other Elite flavors:
