History Korea Yakult Co. was established in 1983 as a ramen manufacturer. In 1995 the beverage division was spun off into a separate company known as Paldo. Soojeonggwa (수정과) is a traditional Korean punch made from persimmons, cinnamon and ginger sometimes topped with pine nuts. The drink is usually served cold as a sweet dessert beverage. Review Smells like cinnamon snip candy. Its cool and sweet. I wonder if this is sometimes heated, it'd make a killer drink as a hot beverage on a cold winter day. Its got cinnamon, but there's also ginger & persimmon making it stimulating and fruity at the same time. Its kind of flat tasting in a can, though. A little rusty around the edges which isn't so great. Why are so many of these Asian drinks ruined when they are canned? Something that would be so much better fresh, or at least not in the can so long. Maybe its the long overseas shipment that rustifies the flavor. As good as this is, it just seems a sad imitation of what would probably be the tastiest punch you ever tried if it was made fresh.
