Review A strong peanut butter smell to this drink. The first sip is more like a peanut butter milk shake than a handful of salty peanuts. Its creamy and sweet, thick and cool. Because its made from peanut butter I'm worried it might not be too healthy to drink much of this. But its not the fat or sodium that's the highest on the nutrition facts label, its the sugar. A full serving, which is a small can, has 40% of the recommended daily amount of sugar! 35g sugar for 290 mL ends up about average compared to other soft drinks, but seeing that on the label did give me pause, before I drank it anyway. The drink does have added vitamins. In Jamaica, peanut punch is traditionally thought of as a masculine energy drink with aphrodisiac qualities. With the added vitamins and lots of sugar, maybe it'll give you a bit of an energy boost at least. The sweetness of the drink is dominated more by the milky and peanuty flavors. Its more of a fortifying drink than a refreshing pick-me-up for the thirsty.
