History Suntory Beverage released Bingo-Bongo in April 2007 in orange-passionfruit and grape-cassis flavors, with a pineapple flavor released several months later. The drink seems to have disappeared a year later, without anyone paying much attention. Another flavor gone off to the Island of Forgotten Flavors! Here's a fast-paced tv ad from 2007 revealing the teenage boys who were the drink's target audience: Review A super grape-flavored soda with a cotton candy fluffiness to it. The cassis flavor is not so apparent as the overwhelming grapey-ness. Sizzling with carbonation and sugar and a grape bubblegum flavor that pops in the mouth. There's nothing natural about this drink. Pure pop soda pop! All sugar and flash.
