Perla Harghitei Elderberry and Lemon

Review Lemon in a cleanser sort of way, but it goes well with the elderflower. This is biased far more toward lemonade than the Thorncroft elderflower drink. And this one if far sweeter than that too. I really like how the fragmentary lemon flavor is filled out by the elderflower, making a sour drink that smells like flowers. The sharp lemon zest is softened by the mellow sour of the elderflower. The only fault with this drink is a slight unpleasant aftertaste of the aspartame left behind after all the other flavors.
Ingredients Carbonated natural mineral water, sugar, citric acid, lemon juice. Acidity regulators: trisodium citrate and natural elderberry juice. Stabilizers: gum arabic and glycerol ester of wood rosins. Sweeteners: glucose, aspartame, phylketonurics: contains phenylalanine, acesulfame potassium, sodium benzoate and potssium sorbate (to preserve freshness), natural caramel flavour. Made by S.C.
