Rosa’s Horchata
12 oz. bottle
|
Review This has the look and texture of an horchata, but in the bottling I think it lost something. It doesn't have the fresh simple taste of a fresh horchata from a taqueria. Instead this tastes like artificial thickeners, a gooey Yoohoo kind of cellulose gum and carrageenan instead of starchy rice milk. Instead of cinnamon there is an aromatic vanilla-like flavor... well I guess there's a little cinnamon here also. But its a strange gloopy drink. Not as refreshing as a real horchata from a restaurant. I expect an horchata to be lighter, fluffy, more soothing on the tongue. Instead this is heavy tasting like caramel syrup.
Ingredients Water, milk, skim milk, sugar, maltodextrin, rice flour, natural and artificial flavors, titanium dioxide, cellulose gel, dipotassium phosphate, ascorbic acid, cellulose gum, mono and diglycerides, soybean oil, and carrageenan. Made by Rosas Original LLC
