History The bottling company Erbak-Uludağ İçecek A.Ş. was founded in 1930 by Mehmet Hakkı Erbak and his son Nuri to market carbonated and still mineral water from a spring at the base of Mount Uludağ near Bursa, Turkey. In 1932, Nuri created the recipe for a sweetened citrus carbonated drink made from the mineral water called Uludağ Gazoz. Uludag Orange was introduced in 1955, in the 1980s came diet versions of the soda and more recently the many flavors of Uludag Frutti. The company is still owned by the Erbak family and currently run by Mehmet Erbak, the grandson of its founder. Review A candy-like fizz on the tongue followed by a mellower fruit flavor of pomegranate. The sweet flavors seem a bit artificial but then they are followed by a more robust pomegranate juice flavor with its cherry-like sourness and round fruit flavor, so its all good.
